Obituary for Mary E. Sack
1921 - 2010

Mrs. Mary E. Sack, 88, of Independence, died Tuesday afternoon at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Penwell-Gabel Webb & Rodrick Chapel with the Reverend Marion Neighbors, officiating. Private interment will be at the Liberty, Kansas Cemetery. Although the casket has been closed, friends may call to register at the funeral home from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Mary Elizabeth Sack was born December 4, 1921 at Liberty, Kansas, the daughter of Raymond Rice Trimble and Myrtle (McKellips) Trimble. She attended Liberty, Kansas schools. She worked for a time with for the Fram Corporation, Electra Manufacturing Company, Automotive Controls Corporation and later worked at Reed’s IGA and the local Gibson’s Store.

In 1949 at Independence, Kansas, she was united in marriage to Eugene J. Sack. The couple were later divorced.

Survivors include: a son, Tim Sack of Independence, Kansas; two daughters, Karen Stewart of Joplin, Missouri and Cindy Martinez of Independence; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and one great great grand child.
